The Switchback was designed around one observation from our Colorado Springs counter: every range bag dies the same way — a blown zipper, a soaked base, or a tangle of ear pro and gloves in one undivided cavity. So we fixed those three things and left the rest alone.
The shell is 1000-denier nylon with a TPU-coated tub-style base, so it stands upright on a gravel bay and shrugs off a wet tailgate. The main cavity splits with a removable divider; the lid holds a padded compartment sized for electronic ear pro and two sets of eyewear; and the end pocket is a wipe-clean tarp bin for anything dirty.
Zippers are #10 YKK with paracord pulls you can run with gloves on. At 1.9 kg empty it carries like a duffel half its rating, and the tuck-away backpack straps mean the walk from the far lot is a non-event.
